14 PIECE TORX SOCKET SET Set of E-TORX sockets for 1/2", 3/8" and 1/4". The set is carefully and precisely made of high-strength chrome vanadium (CrV) steel, which significantly increases their durability and service life. The set is useful in every professional car workshop as well as in the home garage. Everything is packed in a handy and solid plastic case. Chrome vanadium steel (CrV steel) - a special type of steel, mainly used in Europe. Used for the production of tools, e.g. wrenches and drills. In the case of this type of steel, its hardenability is increased by the use of chromium and vanadium as alloying additives. The use of a combination of these two elements can also produce synergistic effects that have not yet been comprehensively defined. Chromium guarantees the steel's resistance to corrosion, oxidation, abrasion and high strength at high temperatures. The addition of vanadium inhibits grain growth during heat treatment while increasing the ductility of both the quenched and tempered forms.
