High-Precision Distance and Proximity Sensor with Advanced Performance

Designed specifically for close and short-distance measurements, the VL53L4CD delivers highly accurate distance measurements, with a range from 1 millimeter up to 1300 millimeters. The sensor features an 18° field of view, improved performance in ambient light, and a ranging speed of up to 100 Hz. Its autonomous mode and programmable ranging parameters enable very low power consumption, making it ideal for battery-powered devices. On-chip embedded processing reduces system design complexity and lowers bill-of-materials costs, allowing use of lower-power and more cost-effective microcontrollers. Like all STMicroelectronics FlightSense time-of-flight (ToF) sensors, the VL53L4CD provides absolute distance measurements independent of target color and reflectivity.
