The adhesive backing on the strip is sticky enough to attach to the clean surface. Very easy to install, just pull off the blue layer(Not the white gum) and stick it to where you prefer. The lights strip is flexible, very small and thin so no one will notice that. LED strip lights battery operated can be cut to suitable length. Every single LED on the strip can literally just be snipped along the line, but only the part connected with the battery pack will continue functioning. Enjoy it
