The Koala, also called Australian sloth, belongs to the family of phascolarctidae of which it is today the last living representative. This nocturnal animal is measuring between 61 and 85cm and has large round ears, a stocky body and short limbs. It is easily recognizable thanks to its silvery brown-grey woolly fur, whose regular maintenance allows the rain to bead. The koala can sleep up to 20 hours a day and feeds mainly on eucalyptus from which it draws all its water supply.
